I couldn't let Pride Month pass without sharing Kirsty and Emma's beautiful wedding which - taking place amid a pandemic - stood as a testament to the endurance of love against the odds. Their big day may have gone through several revisions over the course of the year, but the message was clear: love isn't cancelled.
Set against the stunning backdrop of The Barn at Dalduff Farm, restrictions necessitated that the event was limited to quite literally their nearest and dearest, with just twenty people in attendance. Thankfully this did increase the options for accessorising, with an assortment of custom face masks on display (though their dog Archie definitely took home the prize for best-dressed with his stylish bowtie and matching harness. I think I'm on record as saying that pets should be mandatory at weddings?). Truly encapsulating the 2020 experience, however, the ladies had also set up a Zoom call to include those who couldn't be there in person, with the virtual guests projected at the back of the room!
It was an early finish just as the sun was setting over the gorgeous Ayrshire countryside, but plans are already on the horizon to pick up where things left off. Look out for Wedding 2.0 later this year - now with added virus protection!
